NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University football has signed quarterback Messiah deWeaver to a National Letter of Intent, ODU head coach Bobby Wilder announced on Tuesday.
“We are excited to add Messiah deWeaver to a strong 2019 mid-year recruiting class. Messiah led EMJC to the national championship this past year playing against some of the best teams in the country,” Wilder said. “He has good leadership skills, a high completion percentage, and he knows how to protect the football. With Blake LaRussa moving on we felt it was important to add another QB to this class. We anticipate tremendous competition for the starting QB spot in 2019.”
