NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion (1-2) wrestling team was tabbed in the Intermat Tournament rankings at No. 21 as released Tuesday. The Monarchs are ranked above Iowa State, Lock Haven, Pittsburgh and North Carolina.
Most recently, the Monarchs are coming off a 30-10 win over Northwestern, who is ranked at No. 11 in this weeks Intermat Tournament rankings. Five wrestlers earned bonus points in the win over the Wildcats. ODU has seen three nationally-ranked teams in Missouri, NC State and Northwestern to start off their season. After dropping their opening dual to No. 7 Missouri, ODU nearly defeated No. 5 NC State before topping the Wildcats on the road.
