CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Old Dominion (11-4-2) men's soccer team is set to face No. 14 Charlotte (13-3-1) on Friday at 7 p.m. in the C-USA Tournament Semifinal.
ODU is coming off a 4-0 win over New Mexico in the quarterfinals of the C-USA Tournament. Goals by Max Wilschrey, Niko Klosterhalfen, Hans Kroschwitz and Sebastien Hauret led the Monarchs offensively. Defensively, Mertcan Akar collected his sixth shutout Wednesday.
ODU topped the 49ers 2-1 in Norfolk in early September.

The 49ers have not allowed a goal on their home turf all season. In their quarterfinal match, UAB and Charlotte went into overtime. A 49er goal by Preston Popp lifted them over the Blazers to advance to the semifinals.
Charlotte's three losses come to the Monarchs, Radford and Kentucky.
