Oshane Ximines Named a Semifinalist for Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award

DALLAS, Texas – Old Dominion University senior Oshane Ximines was named a semifinalist for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year.

Compiled by a subset of the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Selection Committee, the semifinalists have all demonstrated a record of leadership by exhibiting exceptional courage, integrity and sportsmanship both on and off the field.

Ximines, a two-year captain for the Monarchs, is fourth in FBS with 10 sacks and 10th with 16.5 tackles for loss. He is second among active FBS players with 31 career sacks. Ximines has 56 tackles on the year to go along with his 10 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss. He recorded his first career interception against Marshall, has two pass breakups and 11 quarterback hurries.

A native of Ahoskie, North Carolina, Ximines became the first Monarch to be invited to the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
