FAIRFAX, Va. - The Old Dominion women's rowing team won the three events they competed in on Sunday at the Occoquan Challenge at the Sandy Run Regional Park.

"The Lady Monarchs competed well. Won all three events we entered and showed some resilience along the way having some athletes race three, three mile races in just three hours," said head coach Dan Garbutt.

To open up their day, the Monarchs won the Women's Champ and Club Eight with a 15:49.58 time. Their second boat in that race finished with a 16:35.17 time to finish in third place. 

In the Women's Champ and Club Four race, ODU had four boats compete, finishing in the top four spots over James Madison, William & Mary and Washington College. The top Monarch boat finished with an 18:11.34 time. 

In the final race of the day, ODU's top boat finished with a 19:28.04 time. The Women's Pair race had three ODU boats compete.
