NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion senior goalkeeper Kealsie Robles earned her first career cap for Team USA this past week at the Sompo Cup in Osaka, Japan.
Robles, a member of the U.S. National Development Squad, received a temporary call-up for this specific tournament. She made two appearances against Japan and Korea, making a total of seven saves.
"It was really cool being at the national level," said Robles about her experience. "It was intense, but it was awesome. It was an experience I'll never forget."
The Yorktown native missed three games for ODU, but the Monarchs went 3-0 in that span, including an overtime win at No. 8 Virginia.
"Every time I woke up, I got to see the stats of us winning and keeping our undefeated streak," said Robles. "That was pretty cool."
This year, Robles is 2-0 for the Monarchs with one shutout and a 1.43 GAA.
