NORFOLK, Va. - For the first time in school history Old Dominion University football will host Virginia Tech in Norfolk, as the No. 10 Hokies come to Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 22 for a 3:30 p.m. start on CBS Sports Network.

> ODU is coming off a 28-25 setback at Charlotte last Thursday. The game was moved up two days due to Hurricane Florence.

> Virginia Tech’s contest vs. East Carolina was cancelled due to the hurricane. The Hokies are 2-0 after defeating Florida State and William and Mary.

> Senior wide receiver Jonathan Duhart recorded his second-straight 100-yard receiving game, catching seven passes for 127-yards and a touchdown.

> True freshman running back Lala Davis played in his first collegiate game, rushing 10 times for 63-yards and two touchdowns.

> Sophomore linebacker Lawrence Garner continued his torid tackling pace in the first three games, notching a game-high 15 tackles at Charlotte. He’s had double-digit tackles in all three games so far this season.

> Senior defensive end Oshane Ximines added another sack, four tackles and a QB hurry. Ximines now has three sacks on the season and 24 in his career.

> This is the second game and first home game for ODU against Virginia Tech in a series that will see the two teams play 13 times in the next 14 years. Six of the games will be in Norfolk.

Lawrence Garner started his third career game at linebacker at Charlotte, recording his third-straight double-digit tackle game, notching 15 stops. He has 42 tackles on the year. Garner leads the FBS with 14.0 tackles per game.

Ximines Sack Watch
Oshane Ximines already holds the ODU single-season and career sacks record, and he is second among active FBS players with 24 sacks. He trails fellow C-USA player, Jaylon Ferguson of Louisiana Tech.

Ximines registered his third sack in the last two games with one at Charlotte. He is the only player on the Monarchs to record a sack this season.

He is tied with E.J. Ejiya of North Texas with the most sacks in Conference USA.

Ximines himself has more sacks than 11 FBS teams.
