EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Old Dominion women’s golf team is set to compete in the 35th Annual Mary Fossum Invitational from Saturday, Sept. 15 to Sept. 16. The Monarchs are coming off a record-breaking week at the Golfweek Program Challenge, where they finished in second place. To enter live scoring, click here.
Leading the Monarchs at the Golfweek Program Challenge, Jana Melichova now owns the lowest 18-hole record (66), 36-hole record, and 54-hole record after her second place individual finish at the event. All five starters for the Monarchs finished in the top-15 individually.
The Mary Fossum Invitational is played at the Forest Akers Golf Course, where one of the NCAA Regional sites will be played later in the spring.
The first day of the tournament will consist of 36 holes with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun and the final day will be just 18 holes beginning at 9 a.m. Forest Akers West will be playing at 6,334 yards and a par 72. ODU will be paired with Indiana and Sacramento State to open the 54-hole tournament.
Six teams ranked nationally in the top-50 will be in attendance at Michigan State.
