NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University practiced for the 11th time in fall camp and received an extra challenge on Thursday morning.
Following a middle of camp surprise scrimmage, today's practice featured 60 extra team reps at the end of practice, with some up downs mixed in for good measure. The extra work was to prepare the team for the fourth quarter, especially early in the season.
Highlights
Early in practice, the defense won a first down drill 9-7 over the offense, as Marcus Haynes and Akim Bundu-Fitz led the way. Haynes had a sack while Bundu-Fitz broke up two passes. Steven Williams completed a 30-yard pass to Darrell Brown, while Estefano Feliciano had a sack for the defense
Later in practice, Williams was on point, firing first down completions to Kesean Strong, Brown, and Travis Fulgham.
Isaiah Harper hauled in a 65-yard strike from Williams, while Drayton Arnold connected for a 45-yarder with Scott McCluney.
