COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Former Old Dominion field hockey star Danielle Grega has been added to the U.S. Senior National Team, as announced by USA Field Hockey on Monday. Grega will join the team effective August 27.
Grega, a two-time All-Big East selection at ODU, makes the move up from U.S. Development Squad, where she excelled in a foreign trip to Chile in May and then in the Young Women’s National Championship in June.
“Being part of the [U.S.] Women’s National Team and being able to represent my country is a dream come true,” said Grega. “I am extremely grateful and blessed to have been given this opportunity and I am very excited to continue to grow as a player and to play with and against some of the best hockey players in the world.”
