RUSTON, La. --
Old Dominion rounds out the 2018 season with a Conference USA series at LA Tech this weekend at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

With it being the last weekend of the regular season, the series begins on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET. First pitch is then set for 7 p.m. ET on Friday and 2 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Old Dominion has been mathematically eliminated from next week's C-USA Tournament in Biloxi, while LA Tech has already clinched a tourney bid and enters the weekend in third place in the league standings.

The Monarchs are coming off of a 9-3 loss at VCU on Tuesday and are 3-3 in their last six games. ODU ranks sixth in the conference in hitting with a .279 team average, while LA Tech has been the league's best pitching team with a conference-leading 3.30 team ERA.

Craig Lopez (.364, 3 2B, 4 RBI) leads ODU in hitting, while Matt Schwarz (.347, 2 HR, 22 RBI, 8-13 SB) and Erik Stock (.336, 13 2B, 3 HR, 20 RBI) have also been swinging hot bats for the Monarchs. Culver Lamb (.310, 9 HR, 29 RBI) and Will Morgan (.224, 7 HR, 28 RBI) rank first and second, respectively, on the team in both home runs and RBIs.

On the mound, Luke Krantz (1-1, 5.53 ERA) will get the start in game one for ODU. The remaining two starters for the weekend are TBA. Morgan Maguire (4-6, 3.72 ERA), who tossed his second complete-game shutout of the season last weekend against UTSA, figures to start one of the final two games.

ODU leads the all-time series against LA Tech, 7-5, and took 2-for-3 against the Bulldogs in Norfolk last season.
