NORFOLK, Va. - Football, pizza and chicken wings go well together, especially for Old Dominion football Friday night under the lights.
The first Friday practice of the spring was very competitive and included the winner of the goalline competition won chicken wings to eat with their pizza after practice. The competition started with the offense jumping on top to a 3-0 lead with touchdowns from Gemonta Jackson and two Steven Williams to Jonathan Duhart TD passes. The defense fought back and tied it at five, and won the competition when the final pass fell incomplete.
The offense and defense split third down and fourth down drills earlier in practice, before the final chicken wing deciding drill.
