GREENVILLE, N.C. -- The Old Dominion men's golf team finished eighth at the East Carolina Intercollegiate this week at Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville, North Carolina.
Old Dominion (+45) carded a 2-over 290 as a team on Tuesday, the best round of any squad in the nine-team field. Overall, ODU climbed one spot on the leaderboard on the final day, passing High Point.
Individually, Gustav Fransson (+7) fired an even round of 72 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 11th. Chad Hess (+13) also carded an even 72 and finished tied for 30th. Calvin Greschner (+14) finished one stroke behind Hess and tied for 32nd.
Nick Rencis (+15) had the best round of any Monarch with a 3-under 69 on Tuesday. Rencis tied for 37th overall.
Rounding out the ODU lineup were Antonio Cruz-Conde (+24, 49th) and Chandler Wilkins (+23, 48th), who competed as an individual.
