GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Through 36 holes, the Old Dominion men's golf team sits in ninth place at the East Carolina Intercollegiate held at Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville, North Carolina.
Old Dominion (+43) opened the day with a 22-over 310 in the first round and then carded a 21-over 309 in the second round. Georgetown (+8) leads the tournament.
Gustav Fransson (+7) had the best opening day of any Monarch and is tied for 23rd. Calvin Greschner (+8) finished just one stroke behind Fransson and sits in 29th.
Rounding out the ODU lineup were Chad Hess (+13, 40th), Nick Rencis (+18, 49th) and Antonio Cruz-Conde (+19, 51st).
Chandler Wilkins (+15), competing as an individual, had a solid opening day and sits in a tie for 47th.
