TEXARKANA, Ark. -- The Old Dominion men's golf team remained in seventh place through 36 holes at the Conference USA Championship at Texarkana Country Club in Arkansas.
ODU (+17) finished Monday 5-over as a team and sit 11 strokes behind Middle Tennessee (+6) and UAB (+6), who are tied for first, and four strokes behind UTSA (+13) and North Texas (+13), who are tied for fourth. The top four teams qualify for Wednesday's match play that will determine the conference champion.
Individually, Gustav Fransson (+1) remained in the top 10 with a 1-over round on Monday and is tied for ninth. Michael Bakker (+4) posted the best round of any Monarch, finishing 1-under for the day to move into a tie for 18th.
Rounding out the Monarch lineup, Calvin Greschner (+6) is tied 27th, Nick Rencis (+7) is tied for 32nd and Chad Hess (+8) is tied for 40th.
The final round of stroke play begins tomorrow at 8 a.m. ET. The Monarchs will be paired again with Rice.
