FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Nick Rencis leads the the Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate and the Old Dominion men's golf sits in sixth place through 36 holes at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club North Course.

Rencis (-3) carded a 3-under 69 in the first round and then followed that up with an even round of 72. The New Jersey native sits one stroke ahead of second-place Michael Busse (-2) of Austin Peay.

As a team, the Monarchs (+15) are 18 strokes behind leader Toledo (-3).

Michael Bakker (+2) and Gustav Fransson (+4) also rank in the top half of the 90-player field. Bakker is tied for 15th and Fransson is tied for 31st.

Rounding out the ODU lineup were Chad Hess (+12, 74th) and Calvin Greschner (+13, 76th).

The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final 18 holes.
