NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football completed its sixth practice of the spring and first Saturday practice in full pads.
The Monarchs practiced for nearly two and a half hours, working individual drills, special teams and notched about 70 live plays during team drills.
In live team drills, the defense forced seven turnovers, three interceptions and four fumble recoveries. Elijah Blue, Geronda Hall and Justin Noye recorded the interceptions, while Prince Ajegwu, Ty-Kee McCullers, James Valle and Justice Davila recorded fumble recoveries. Davila returned his 70-yards for a touchdown.
For the offense, Drayton Arnold tossed a pair of 30-yard completions, one to Hasaan Patterson and another to Jonathan Duhart, while Steven Williams connected with Jake Herslow for a 30-yard touchdown reception. Brandon Simmons and Kesean Strong added rushing touchdown for the offense.
