NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football practiced for the fifth time this spring, through another cold Thursday morning in Norfolk.
The Monarchs practiced for about an hour and 40 minutes, and worked on blitz pickup for the offense and one on one defense for blitz coverage.
During team drills, Isaiah Harper was the early favorite target, nabbing a 20-yard pass from Steven Williams, and later a 40-yard reception from Drayton Arnold. Later in practice, Arnold connected with Marcus Joyner for a 20-yard touchdown. Joe Joe Headen had an interception for the defense, while Daniel Appouh and Tim Ward knocked down passes. Sophomore kicker, Nick Rice, hit three field goals.
