ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Old Dominion women's golf team climbed one spot to 13th at the UCF Challenge on Monday at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando.

The Monarchs shot nine-over for the day to move past Tulane. Overall, Old Dominion is +26 through the first 36 holes of the 54-hole event. 41st-ranked Miami (+4) leads the 16-team field that features seven teams who are ranked in the top 50 in the nation.

Individually, Katerina Vlasinova and Sana Tufail (+6) are both tied for 35th entering the final day of competition. Vlasinova was four-over for the day, while Tufail was two-over.

Abigail Portyrata, competing in her first official tournament as a Monarch, had the best round of any ODU player with a one-over. Portyrata and Charlotte De Corte (+7) are now tied for 43rd. Noemie Sudron (+16) rounds out the Monarch lineup and is in 87th.

ODU is competing without its No. 1 player Maggie Simmermacher, who is sidelined with an injury.

The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final 18 holes.
