NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion (2-3, 1-1 MAC) wrestling team hosts Eastern Michigan (4-3, 0-0 MAC) in a MAC dual at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Ted Constant Center. The Monarchs are coming off mat time at Midlands and the Lock Haven Classic.
At Midlands, Larry Early notched one tech fall, one decision, and two major decisions en route to his eighth place finish at the prestigious 55th Midlands Championships.
The team finished 21st at Midlands with 23 team points total, while Eastern Michigan finished close behind with a 23rd place finish.
At the Lock Haven Classic, Steven Simpson, Kenan Carter, George Walton (unat), and Will Hilliard (unat) all won in their prospective weight class.
About EMU
Entering their match against Old Dominion, Eastern Michigan (4-3, 0-0 MAC) will be coming off a dual against Ohio on Friday, Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. Their match against Ohio (0-4, 0-2) will be their first MAC dual of the season.
