NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's basketball team plays at VCU on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in what will be the Monarchs' first game away from home since Nov. 18.
Wednesday's contest will be the 75th edition of the rivalry between the former CAA foes. Old Dominion (1-7) leads the all-time series, 58-16.
The Monarchs are coming off of a 54-33 loss to Cincinnati on Sunday. Victoria Morris, who recorded her seventh double-figure scoring game in the loss to the Bearcats, leads ODU in scoring with 12.3 points per game. Odegua Oigbokie is also averaging double figures with 10.4 points per game.
ODU is averaging over seven three-pointers made per game and has already set single-game school records for threes made (13 vs. Coppin State) and attempted (30 vs. Duke) so far this season.
ODU assistant coach Richard Fortune has ties to the Ram program, as Fortune served as an assistant for two years at VCU from 2015 to 2017.
Last year, ODU defeated VCU, 70-60, in Norfolk.
The Monarchs are 370-97 all-time against Virginia schools.
