CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Old Dominion University sophomore swimmer Filip Svedberg was named Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Co-Swimmer of the Week, the CCSA announced on Wednesday. Svedberg shared the award with Kyrylo Shvets of Incarnate Word.
Svedberg won the 100 and 200 butterfly on Saturday for Old Dominion against East Carolina. Svedberg won the 100 butterfly in a time of 49.41, and triumphed in the 200 butterfly in a time of 1:52.78.
It is the second-straight week an ODU swimmer has won the CCSA Swimmer of the Week award, as Anton Mikaelsson won the award last week, while female swimmer Ashley Brem was named Conference USA Swimmer of the week as well, last week.
