RUSTON, La. - The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (7-3-4, 4-1-2 C-USA) picked up another point after a 1-1 draw on the road in a rainy environment at LA Tech (10-2-5, 3-1-3 C-USA) at the Lady Techster Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon.

"With this being our final road games of the regular season we are definitely looking forward to being home for the next two weeks and the chance to play our final three conference games on our field,” explained ODU head coach Angie Hind

“We had hoped to be able to win at least one of these games this weekend; however, considering the games themselves I'm pleased to go away with two points,” Hind continued. “Today, especially, was a really tough game, very physical and I was pleased that we stood up to that. Natalie Johnston had a big weekend for us and at times of adversity that’s what you look for; those that will step up for the team. Krista Moisio also had another good weekend and made some big saves at crucial times in both games. As a team today, we were so together and resilient and I'm really proud of this group.”

After a scoreless first half, the Monarchs held a 5-2 advantage in shots a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Haley Laque capitalized on a penalty kick in the 68th minute to give the Lady Techsters a 1-0 lead.

Natalie Johnson scored her third goal of the season in the 76th minute to knot the match at 1-1 for Old Dominion.
