Football Fall Camp Recap - Day Six

NORFOLK, Va. - After inclement weather wiped out Saturday's practice, Old Dominion University Football held their first scrimmage of fall camp on Sunday afternoon.

The Monarchs ran approximately 120 plays in their second day of full pads.

Early in the scrimmage, Drayton Arnold connected with Hasaan Patterson for a 99-yard touchdown pass. Later in the scrimmage, Ray Lawry broke off the left side for a 44-yard touchdown run.

The defense came up big as well as Sean Carter tackled Jeremy Cox in the end zone for a safety. Later in the scrimmage Miles Fox notched a sack while Ryan Londree notched a pair of tackles for loss.

Steven Williams Jr. hit Gemonta Jackson with a 20-yard touchdown pass as well for the offense, while Zach Lackman and Juwan Ross collected sacks for the defense.

The Monarchs open the season at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 2 against Albany at 6 p.m.
