NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men's tennis head coach Dominik Mueller announced the addition of Grand Canyon University transfer Francois Musitelli (Dijon, France) to the ODU roster for next season. Musitelli has three years of eligibility left.
“We are thrilled to add Francois to our roster for the upcoming season,” said Mueller. “He has been very mature in the recruiting process and clearly defined his goals. We will help him on his path to be a pro player in the future. He has had great success in college already and I'm excited for him to bring this experience to our team.”
Musitelli was named to the All-WAC Singles First Team last season. He played in the No. 1 singles slot as a freshman, earning a 14-7 record and went 4-1 in WAC play. Musitelli earned the WAC Player of the Week award for Jan. 23-29 after wins against UNC and Air Force.
“What brought me to ODU were the coaches,” Musitelli explained. “I think it is a great place to develop my tennis game, make international connections and gain a great education. I am looking forward to bringing a big impact to the team with positive energy and hopefully great results.”
