NORFOLK, Va. -- Victoria Morris, a standout combo guard from North College Hill High School in Cincinnati, has committed to play basketball for Old Dominion next season.
“We are so excited Victoria has decided to join our Lady Monarch family,” said head coach Nikki McCray-Penson. “She gives us instant depth, which fills an immediate need of ours.”
A 2017 commit, Morris will join the Lady Monarchs for the upcoming 2017-18 season. She is the first official committment for McCray-Penson, who was appointed head coach in June.
Morris averaged 21.0 points, 5.0 assists and 3.7 steals last year during her senior season at North College Hill en route to earning All-Miami Valley Conference honors. Morris led the conference in scoring and ranked second in assists.
During her sophomore season, Morris was the MVC Player of the Year after averaging a league-leading 20.5 points per game. For her career, she was a three-time All-City and All-MVC selection, and was also named team MVP three times.
With over 1,500 points during her high school career, Morris graduated as the all-time leading scorer in North College Hill history.
In addition to her prep accolades, Morris also played AAU ball for All-Ohio EYBL, one of the top AAU programs in the Ohio circuit.
