NORFOLK, Va. -- 
Old Dominion will look to remain perfect in road series this season, as the Monarchs travel to UAB for a Conference USA series this weekend at Young Memorial Field on the campus of UAB. Due to weather, the teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT and conclude the series on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT.

All three games will be streamed on CUSA.tv and will also be aired in the Hampton Roads area on STAR 1310 radio. Live in-game updates will also be provided via live stats and on Twitter.

Old Dominion (30-13, 14-7 C-USA) enters the weekend in a two-way tie with Charlotte for third place in the league standings. The Monarchs are two games behind first-place Southern Miss and one game behind second-place Florida Atlantic. In road series this season, ODU is 3-0, winning 2-of-3 at UTSA, Middle Tennessee and Southern Miss.

In the last five games, the Monarchs are averaging 10.6 runs per game and are hitting .399 as a team. For the season, ODU is hitting .291, which is up 38 points from last year's .253 average. Overall, Jared Young leads the club with a slash line of .379/.455/.609 and seven home runs. Freshmen Vinnie Pasquantino and Kyle Battle are both hitting .350 or better, while Zach Rutherford is hitting .335 with a team-high 17 doubles and 44 RBIs.

On the mound, Adam Bainbridge has been the Monarchs' top starter this season. The senior left-hander and Saturday starter is 7-1 with a 1.79 ERA and threw a seven-inning complete game in his last start. Friday starter Sam Sinnen improved to 2-3 on the year, after throwing six innings of one-run ball against Marshall. In the bullpen, Craig Lopez leads the team with four saves, while freshman Corey Klak has two saves.

UAB (21-24, 7-14 C-USA) is currently tied for 10th in the C-USA standings and has lost six consecutive conference series. Last weekend, the Blazers dropped 2-of-3 at home to Charlotte. Outfielder Brewer Hicklen leads UAB in average (.336), home runs (7), RBIs (26) and stolen bases (12), while Friday starter Thomas Lowery is 6-1 with a 3.21 ERA. Overall, the Blazers are hitting .255 as a team and have a club ERA of 4.97.

The all-time series between ODU and UAB is tied at 7-7. Last year, the Monarchs won 2-of-3 against the Blazers in Norfolk.

The ticket vouchers can be used at any of the 36 home ODU baseball games this season, including the Harbor Park game against Virginia Tech and the Key Dog Classic against VCU on May 10 at the Bud Metheny Complex.
