GREENVILLE, N.C. -- The Old Dominion men's golf team finished in a seventh-place tie with Georgetown at the East Carolina Intercollegiate Tuesday. David Langley was the highest-placing Monarch, finishing in 14th place out of 66 golfers in the field.
West Virginia captured the team title, while East Carolina and Western Kentucky tied for second place. The Monarchs and the Hoyas tied for seventh place, as both teams shot +50 for the tournament.
Langley finished the ECU Intercollegiate in 14th place (+10) after firing a five-over 77 in round three, while Monarchs Antonio Cruz-Conde and Calvin Greschner tied with one another for 30th place (+14).
As a team, ODU finished with the best par three scoring average (3.32) of all 11 schools.
Cruz-Conde wrapped up the three-day event with the fifth-lowest par three scoring average (3.08) and Langley registered the fifth-best par five scoring average (4.75).
The Monarchs are back in action in their final regular season tournament from April 9-11 at the Wyoming Desert Classic in Phoenix.
