NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion returns to the friendly confines of the Bud Metheny Complex on Tuesday for a midweek matchup against William & Mary at 6 p.m. The game will be streamed on CUSA.tv and can also be heard locally on STAR 1310.
Tuesday's matchup between the former CAA foes will mark the second meeting between the two this season, as the Monarchs pulled out an 11-6 victory in Williamsburg on March 29.
Last time out, Old Dominion (24-9) won 2-of-3 in a Conference USA series at Middle Tennessee over the weekend, after dropping consecutive games for the first time this season with midweek losses at No. 18 Virginia and VMI. At 7.2 runs per game, the Monarchs boast an offense that ranks in the top 40 nationally, as ODU is reaching base at a clip of .382, which is in the top 60 in the nation.
Overall, Vinnie Pasquantino leads the team with a .371 average, while this week's Conference USA Hitter of the Week Jared Young leads the team with six home runs, after an incredible performance last week that featured a .667 average, five home runs, 11 RBIs and a 2.097 OPS in five games.
In the Monarchs' victory over William & Mary (18-14) earlier this season, Culver Lamb went 2-for-4 with a grand slam and Nick Walker went 2-for-5 with a double, home run and three RBIs, while the ODU bullpen tossed six innings of one-hit ball.
Last week, the Tribe posted a 3-1 record, including a 5-1 midweek win at VCU and then a 2-1 CAA series win over Elon at home. Brandon Raquet, at .346, leads five W&M starters who own an average above .300, while Cullen Large leads the team with 29 RBIs.
On the mound, freshman John Wilson, who received his first loss of his career on Sunday at Middle Tennessee, will start for ODU in what projects to be a staff day for the Monarch pitching staff. William & Mary has yet to announce a starting pitcher.
ODU leads the all-time series against William & Mary, 82-52.

BASEBALL VOUCHER BOOKS
Baseball voucher books can be purchased here for $50 and contain a total of 36 ticket vouchers. The ticket vouchers can be used at any of the 36 home ODU baseball games this season, including the Harbor Park game against Virginia Tech and the Key Dog Classic against VCU on May 10 at the Bud Metheny Complex.
