NORFOLK, Va. --
Following a four-game road stretch, Old Dominion returns to the friendly confines of the Bud Metheny Complex to host Charlotte in a Conference USA series this weekend.

All three games in the series will be streamed on CUSA.tv featuring commentary from Andy Mashaw on Saturday and Ted Alexander on Sunday.

Old Dominion (20-5, 5-1 C-USA) has won 10 of its last 11 games and sits in a three-way tie for first atop the C-USA standings with Southern Miss and Florida Atlantic. Last time out, the Monarchs defeated William & Mary, 11-6, in Williamsburg, marking the eighth time this season that ODU has scored 10 or more runs.

Overall, the Monarchs boast one of the top offenses in the nation, ranking fourth in C-USA and 24th in the nation in scoring at 7.7 runs per game. Freshman Vinnie Pasquantino's .378 average leads the team, while Culver Lamb is hitting .348 with a team-high 24 RBIs. Leadoff hitter Nick Walker has belted a team-leading four home runs.

On the mound, the weekend starting rotation of Sam Sinnen, Adam Bainbridge and John Wilson has a combined record of 10-1 and all three starters have a sub-4.00 ERA. Bainbridge, in particular, is off to a dominant start with a 5-1 record and 1.62 ERA.

As a team, the Monarchs are 6-1 in one-run games and have won all five weekend series so far this season, including taking 2-of-3 at UTSA last weekend.

Charlotte (15-10, 4-2 C-USA) opened its conference slate with a pair of series wins at FIU and at home against LA Tech. The 49ers won 2-of-3 against both FIU and LA Tech, but, most recently, fell to NC State, 15-10, in a midweek game in Raleigh.

The 49ers are led at the plate by Jackson Mims (.407) and TJ Nichting (.400), who rank first and second in the conference in batting average, while Friday starter Colton Laws is the 49ers' top arm with a 3-0 record and 1.31 ERA. As a team, Charlotte ranks second in C-USA in average at .306 and first in fielding percentage at .981.

ODU leads the all-time series, 41-31, and won 2-of-3 at Charlotte last season.
