NORFOLK, Va. -- Old Dominion continues its Conference USA slate this weekend with a road series at UTSA in San Antonio, Texas. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT on Friday, 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT on Saturday and 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT on Sunday.
All three games will be broadcast on STAR 1310 radio featuring commentary from Ted Alexander and will also be streamed on CUSA.tv.
Old Dominion (17-4, 3-0 C-USA) rides a seven-game winning streak into the weekend after defeating Princeton in a pair of midweek games. Last weekend, the Monarchs also swept Rice during the opening weekend of conference play and were one of just three C-USA teams, along with Southern Miss and Florida Atlantic, to sweep on opening weekend.
Offensively, ODU is scoring 7.4 runs per game, which ranks 36th in the country, and have scored 10 or more runs in six games. Freshman Vinnie Pasquantino leads the team with a .400 average, while Culver Lamb leads seven different Monarchs with 10 or more RBIs with a team-high 18.
On the mound, weekend starters Adam Bainbridge and John Wilson have combined for an 8-1 record and both own an ERA under 3.00. The Monarchs have held opponents to five runs or fewer in 10 straight games, including two or less in four of the last six games.
UTSA (10-9, 1-2 C-USA) lost 2-of-3 at Marshall in its opening C-USA series and is coming off of an 18-6 midweek win over Houston Baptist. All three UTSA projected starters have an ERA below 4.00, while the team has hit 21 home runs in 19 games.
The Roadrunners lead the all-time series, 5-4, and have won 2-of-3 against the Monarchs in each of the past two seasons.
