NORFOLK, Va. – The No. 36 nationally ranked Old Dominion men’s tennis team (10-3) hosts VCU (9-6) on Friday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. Then on Sunday, March 19, ODU will welcome Brown (9-4) for a 9:00 a.m. start.
The Monarchs are coming off a 4-0 win over St. John’s before Spring Break.
ODU’s doubles pairing of Adam Moundir and Jacob Nicolussi are ranked No. 45 and are coming off another solid performance against St. John’s. Old Dominion’s top singles players Adam Moundir is currently nationally ranked No. 32.
Old Dominion is currently in the midst of eight straight home matches at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center, which runs through the month of March and into April. The Monarchs will look to continue their current two-match win-streak to three against the Rams.
Meet VCU
The VCU Rams have started the season 9-6 in the spring, after rattling off four straight wins to start the year. In their last match, the Rams fell to South Florida, 4-0. The Rams have yet to win a match on the road.
Meet Brown
The Bears have started the season with a 9-4 record. 10 of Brown’s matches have been played at home (8-2), while the Bears are just 1-2 on the road so far this season. Like the Monarchs, the Bears are coming off a 4-0 victory over St. John’s.
