Women's Golf in 9th at UCF Challenge -- Day 2

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Old Dominion women's golf team wrapped up day two of the UCF Challenge in a tie for ninth place with No. 40 Kentucky Monday at the Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando. Individually, Charlotte De Corte cracked the top 10 on day two after firing a 70 and is currently in a ninth-place tie with No. 83 Filippa Moork of Miami.

Heading into the third and final day of the UCF Challenge, Mississippi State moved into first place while No. 14 Miami and No. 20 UCF round out the top three teams, respectively.

The Monarchs are currently in a ninth-place tie with No. 40 Kentucky and are still ahead of No. 34 Wisconsin, No. 35 SMU, No. 38 Auburn and No. 42 East Carolina.  

Individually, De Corte sits in ninth place (-4) while Sana Tufail is in 28th (-1). Maggie Simmermacher heads into day three just one stroke behind (E) in 33rd. 

Katerina Vlasinova, currently in 57th place (+4), has the second-lowest par three average (2.63) of all 96 golfers in the field. 

Action resumes for the final day of the UCF Challenge tomorrow at 9 a.m.
