BOCA RATON, Fla. – Old Dominion University Football outscored Florida Atlantic 29-3 in the second half on their way to a 42-24 victory in Boca Raton Saturday night.

David Washington passed for a career-high 416 yards and five touchdowns, while Zach Pascal had nine catches for 178 yards and a touchdown as Old Dominion (8-3, 6-1) racked up 623 yards of total offense, 360 coming in the second half.

Duhart started the second half with a six-yard TD grab, followed by an acrobatic 45-yard grab from Pascal and another one-yard score from Duhart. Washington capped the second half scoring with an 84-yard score to Jeremy Cox, the longest ODU play since joining FBS.

The Monarchs trailed 21-13 at halftime but received the opening kickoff of the second half and drove 75-yards in nine plays capped by a Washington to Jonathan Duhart six-yard touchdown pass. Washington ran in a two-point conversion to tie the score at 21.

After the defense forced a three and out, Washington led the offense on a seven play, 91-yard drive and tossed a 45-yard touchdown pass to Pascal for the ODU 28-21 lead.

Greg Joseph kicked a 30-yard field goal to bring the Owls to within four at 28-24.

ODU came right back, driving 75-yards on seven plays as Washington hit Duhart for a third time, a one-yarder to make the score 35-24.

The Monarchs capped the scoring early in the fourth quarter as Jeremy Cox caught a swing pass to the left side, ran over a defender, and raced 84-yards for a touchdown to put the score at 42-24.

Florida Atlantic got on the board first as Greg Howell scored on a one-yard run to finish a 12 play, 57-yard scoring drive.

Brad Davis kicked a 19-yard field goal to get ODU on the board on its opening drive, capping a nine play, 77-yard drive. Washington completed 4-of-6 passes for 71 yards, hitting Zach Pascal three times for 60 yards.

Devin Singletary scored from two-yards out on the following FAU drive to put the Owls on top 14-3 with three minutes left in the first quarter.
