NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men’s soccer fell Saturday night 4-1 to the Panthers of FIU at the ODU Soccer Complex. Sebastien Hauret scored the lone goal of the night, his second of the season, as the Monarchs drop to 4-7-2 (1-4-1 C-USA).

Hauret scored on a penalty kick in the 78th minute for the lone tally on the board for the Monarchs. ODU led FIU in shots 21-13 with Hauret recording the team high five shots. Alex Tiesenhausen recorded three saves while Daniel Gagliadi of FIU totaled nine on the night.

Four different athletes scored for the Panthers on the night as they improved to 7-6-2 (4-2-1 C-USA). Joris Ahlinvi got the first goal for FIU in the 35th minute, the only goal of the first half on the assist from Ismael Longo. Juan Benedetty (72:29), Luis Betancur (77:25) and Jamar Campion-Hinds (81:59) rounded out the other three FIU goals.

The Monarchs return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 1, as they host Florida Atlantic for the final home regular season match at 7 p.m. at the ODU Soccer Complex.
