NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (5-9-0, 3-3-0 C-USA) fell to LA Tech (11-4-1, 3-3-0 C-USA) by a 2-0 score on Sunday afternoon in the Lady Monarchs regular season home finale at the ODU Soccer Complex.
Old Dominion was whistled for a penalty in the box in the fourth minute, leading to Annabel Prior converting on a PK, giving the Lady Techsters 1-0 advantage. The goal was Prior’s second of the season.
For the first half, LA Tech held a slim 5-4 advantage in shots, while ODU attempted the half’s only corner.
Kathryn Sloan scored her seventh goal of the season in the 79 minute off an assist from Haley Laque to give LA Tech a 2-0 victory on Sunday afternoon in Norfolk.
For the match, LA Tech held a narrow 9-8 advantage for shots, while ODU attempted the game’s only three corners. Krista Moisio collected four saves in net for Old Dominion.
ODU will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 21st, when the Lady Monarchs travel to Houston, Texas to take on the Rice Owls. This match can be viewed live in HD through C-USA TV.
