WASHINGTON -- The No. 17 Old Dominion field hockey team (4-3, 0-1 BIG EAST) will head to Washington, D.C. on Friday, Sept. 23 for a 1 p.m. game against BIG EAST foe Georgetown (2-6, 0-1 BIG EAST).
ODU will look to shake off two losses from last weekend, as the Lady Monarchs dropped a 2-1 nailbiter against undefeated and then fifth-ranked UConn Friday before falling to JMU, 2-1, on Sunday.
Erin Huffman leads the team in goals through seven games, as the freshman from Annville, Pennsylvania has found the back of the net four times, while senior Casey Dolan and junior Danielle Grega have each tallied three goals apiece.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kealsie Robles has started every game for the Lady Monarchs, racking up 26 saves.
Georgetown enters Friday's conference matchup on a six-game losing skid, as the Hoyas most recently dropped back-to-back games against Quinnipiac and Yale, both by a 4-2 score, last weekend.
Lindsay Getz leads Georgetown in scoring with three goals on the season, while Michaela Bruno and Aaliyah Graves-Brown have registered two goals and two assists each. Graves-Brown was a Preseason All-BIG EAST selection and was tabbed BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on August 29.
