NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's basketball team will be volunteering at the Annual Play Day in Norfolk on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Tarrallton Park.
Where: Tarrallton Park, 2100 Tarrallton Drive, Norfolk VA
When: Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 10am-2pm
Cost: FREE!
The event, which is dedicated to provide recreational activities for all ages and tastes, runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features games, bounce houses, pony rides, vendors, sports demonstrations, carnival games and a 24-foot slide.
Former ODU women's hoops star Jazzmin Walters, who now works for the city of Norfolk, played a key role in organizing the event. Walters etched her name in the ODU record books with her game-winning three-pointer in the 2008 NCAA Tournament that gave the Lady Monarchs an upset victory over Virginia, sending ODU to the Sweet 16.
Walters and current members of the ODU women's basketball team will all be present on Saturday.
