NORFOLK, Va. - Prior to the 2015-16 basketball season, ODU Athletics, working with the Old Dominion Athletic Foundation (ODAF) and the Ted Constant Convocation Center, embarked on an ambitious plan to re-brand and renovate the third-floor club area in the North end of the Constant Center. In a nostalgic twist, the club area was renamed the new “4400 Club,” in connection with the popular nightclub that once stood on the same ground as the Constant Center during the 1970’s and 1980’s.

The renovation of the 4400 Club was recognized by the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) as the best new revenue-generation idea of the past year at the Association’s national convention held in Dallas, Texas in June. ODU’s gold medal submission for the 4400 Club was selected above entries from all Division I FBS schools. Over 900 entries were submitted in 13 award categories.

The project revitalized the club area with upgraded décor, amenities and food and beverage options. The décor included images of the original 4400 Club and the university from prior decades. The food and beverage options included specials like free popcorn reminiscent of the atmosphere at the original club. The upgrades helped drive additional season ticket sales in the club that surpassed the prior season by 50% and club ticket revenue rose by over 146%.

Seats in the 4400 Club can be purchased for the 2016-17 season by contacting the ODAF at 757- 683-6963. Tickets are $350 per seat and customers must be at a $1,000 or higher giving level with the ODAF. The price includes snacks, access to alcoholic beverages and premium food options on the club level and parking.
