NORFOLK, Va. -- Four Old Dominion field hockey players have been invited to take part in USA Field Hockey's Young Women's National Championship in Lancaster, Pa. from June 28 to July 3 at Spooky Nook, the home of USA Field Hockey.

ODU's selections to the Young Women's National Championship include rising senior Casey Dolan, rising junior Danielle Grega, and rising sophomores Carrie Sensenig and Kealsie Robles.

"It is great to have these four Lady Monarchs representing ODU at High Performance," said head coach Andrew Griffiths. "They have been training hard and the championship will be a tremendous competitive experience for them. Working with different coaching styles will help aid them in their growth as a player and will benefit our team in the future."

The Young Women's National Championship serves as a high level, international structured competition and the selection venue for the 2016-17 U.S. U-21 Women's National Team, with a total of 144 players from various regions participating in the event. High Performance Training Centers identify and train potential U.S. Women's National Team athletes through comprehensive training and skill enhancement sessions, as well as premier level competitions. High Performance Centers allow athletes to train in regional areas close to their homes by some of the country's top coaches.
