NORFOLK -- Senior centerfielder Connor Myers joined junior pitcher Nick Hartman in the 2016 Major League Baseball draft by being selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 27th round.

He highlighted the year with two home runs against Liberty, including the game winner. In the final C-USA statistical rankings, he was first in sac flies (8), fifth in stolen bases (19), sixth in doubles (17) and tenth in RBIs (42). He also posted 15 multiple hit games, 13 multiple RBI games and held the longest hitting (12) and reached base streaks (22) on the team. The standout centerfielder finished his career as the ODU record holder for games played with 224 and sits in fifth in career at bats (778) and seventh in stolen bases (64-81).
