OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- The Old Dominion women's rowing team had a total of four boats earn medals, including gold for the Varsity Four, at the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Regatta on Sunday in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Overall, the Lady Monarchs earned one gold medal (V4), two silvers (V8, 2V8) and one bronze (N8) in the final regatta of the regular season for ODU.

The Novice Eight opened the Sunday finals with a third-place finish (7:29.79) in the A Final, placing behind Kansas State (7:14.84) and Tennessee (7:21.46).
The second and third Varsity Eights then raced in the JV A Final, with the 2V8 crossing the finish line second (7:05.38) and the 3V8 placing fifth (7:41.37). Kansas State also won gold in that final (6:56.98).
The Varsity Four then captured ODU's lone gold medal of the regatta, finishing first (7:48.03) in the Varsity 4+ A Final. The ODU V4 topped the top two boats for Kansas State, as well as the top two boats for Jacksonville and the top boat for Rollins.
The Varsity Eight then capped off the day with a runner-up finish (6:49.93) in the Varsity 8+ A Final. The Lady Monarchs were edged by Kansas State (6:47.94) in a tight race.

ODU returns to Oak Ridge for the Big 12 Championship on May 14-15.
