KENNESAW, Ga. -- Maggie Simmermacher captured her second top-five finish of the season on Tuesday, grabbing fifth at the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate at the Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Georgia. The sophomore Lady Monarch climbed up three spots from eighth place by firing a one-over 73 in the final round of the tournament.

Texas Tech, ranked 26th in the country, claimed the team title, while No. 34 Augusta finished as the runner-up. The Lady Monarchs tied for eighth place with Mercer.

Individually, Simmermacher led the way for ODU, taking fifth-place finish out of 70 participants. Sana Tufail tied for 33rd place, while Katerina Vlasinova tied for 50th. Competing as an individual, Charlotte Hindmoor placed 60th, and Rachel Walker and Charlotte De Corte tied for 63rd.

Old Dominion finished the tournament with 23 birdies and was one of just five teams to sink an eagle, a feat that was accomplished by Simmermacher.

Simmermacher finished with the third-lowest par four average (4.17) and the fourth-lowest par five average (4.83) of all golfers. Tufail recorded a team-high 35 pars, and both Tufail and Simmermacher sunk six birdies apiece.

The Lady Monarchs compete again at the River Landing Classic on April 9-10 in Wallace, North Carolina.
