MERCER, Ga. -- Following a standout performance against Virginia Tech, junior goalkeeper Maggi Buckley has been named the Atlantic Sun's Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Buckley played a key role in the Lady Monarchs' 10-7 victory over Virginia Tech on Saturday, playing the full 60 minutes in goal and tallying 12 saves. The win over the Hokies was the program's first since 1997.
