RICHMOND, Va. – The No. 64 nationally ranked Old Dominion women’s tennis team (3-3) will travel to VCU (1-2) to take on the Rams on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 1:00 p.m.
The Lady Tennis Monarchs are coming off an impressive 4-0 victory against James Madison last week at Salisbury Country Club. Old Dominion is currently on a two-match win streak.
Virginia Commonwealth enters the match with a 1-2 overall mark, with losses to N.C. State (3-4) and Wake Forest (0-7) and a win over (7-0).
VCU is coached by Paul Kostin, who is one of just four Division I tennis coaches all-time to reach 1,000 career wins.
The last time ODU and VCU squared-off was on March 1, 2015, when Old Dominion overcame an early 0-2 deficit to defeat No. 61 Virginia Commonwealth 4-3 at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center for the first victory against the Rams since 2006.
