GREEN BAY, Wis. - Former Old Dominion long snapper Rick Lovato was signed by the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday and would become the first Monarch to play in an NFL regular season game. The packers play at Arizona on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. on FOX. Lovato will wear number 59.
Lovato was a four-year starter for the Monarchs from 2011-14 handling all long snapping duties on punts and extra points/field goals. He was an FCS All-American in 2012.
A native of Middletown, N.J., Lovato was in training camp with the Chicago Bears.
