NORFOLK, Va. -- This past month several Old Dominion University student-athletes, including members of the ODU women's lacrosse team, have paired up with the campus' panhellenic organizations and Love Your Melon in the fight against pediatric cancer.
Love Your Melon is an apparel brand run by college students across the country on a mission to give a hat to every child battling cancer in America. 50 percent of net proceeds on every Love Your Melon product sold will be donated to the Pinky Swear Foundation and CureSearch. Love Your Melon's goals also include personally placing a hat on every child battling cancer in America.
"I am very grateful to have become a part of the Love Your Melon organization," said senior Alex Danks. "Supporting children battling pediatric cancer in our area is extremely important and I look forward to being able to deliver a beanie, hope and love to each and every one of them!"
