ORLANDO, Fla. – The Old Dominion women’s tennis team continued to impress amongst some of the nation's top talent at the prestigious USTA Clay Court Championships, as Ingrid Vojcinakova kept her impressive tournament going on day two advancing to the Quarterfinals. ODU freshman Nataliya Vlasova also fought her way into the Consolation Quarterfinals of the Gold Draw on Friday in Orlando, Fla.

Ingrid Vojcinakova took care of business again on Friday in the Round of 16 of the Garnett Draw, as she defeated Central Florida’s Monica Matias in straight sets (6-2, 6-1). The victory places Vojcinakova in the Quarterfinals against Virginia Tech’s Raluca Mita on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. This Quarterfinal match will air live in HD on ESPN 3 (see below for link).

Old Dominion’s Nataliya Vlasova proved to be resilient, paving her way into the Consolation Quarterfinals of the Gold Draw when she took down Breanna Stampfi (Florida Gulf Coast) in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Vlasova is slated to play her next match on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. on ESPN 3.

Adriana Rajkovic will have a showdown with NC State’s Amanda Rebo in the Third Round of the Garnet Draw Consolation bracket on Saturday.

Marijana Novakovic fell in the Round of 16 of the Consolation White Draw to Virginia Tech’s Sansitha Nandakamer in a heart-breaking three-setter 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Ivana Vukovic also lost a hard fought three-setter in the Round of 16 of the Consolation White Draw to No. 7 seeded Kelly Willford of Virginia Tech 1-6, 6-1, 6-2.

The tournament is slated to run through Sunday, Nov. 8.
