NORFOLK, Va. – Passionate, dynamic, inspiring and coach of the Old Dominion women’s basketball team, Karen Barefoot is a master motivator, not only of teams, but also of individuals and organizations, encouraging them to succeed beyond even their own expectations. Barefoot can be seen speaking at a magnitude of events and every week ODUSports will highlight where she will bring her valuable insight and advice.
Barefoot is set to visit the Norfolk Sunrise Roatry on Thursday from 7:30-8:45 a.m. at the Town Point Club in the Norfolk World Trade Center. The Rotary Club consists of Norfolk business owners and residents, who make up a vibrant group of community leaders who enjoy being part of southeastern Virginia’s oldest and largest service club, much like Barefoot.
The nearly 140 members come from throughout Hampton Roads and share a passion for community service and fellowship. The Club values always learning something new, having fun and working together to make the community and world better.
