NORFOLK, Va. -- Freshman forward Bailey Quinn picked up her first career BIG EAST weekly award on Monday afternoon, after being named the conference's Rookie of the Week. Senior forward Teisha King was also named to the weekly honor roll for her efforts this past weekend.
Bailey picked the right time to take the first shot of her collegiate career, netting the first score of the game in No. 15 Old Dominion’s 3-2 upset of No. 5 Virginia.
King tallied five points on two goals and a dish in the Monarchs 6-0 triumph over Georgetown on Friday. She found the back of the net again against Virginia on Sunday, posting seven points on the weekend.
The Lady Monarchs return to the L.R. Hill Sports Complex on Wednesday when they take on No. 8 Maryland, their eighth ranked team of the season. Game time is set for 5:00 p.m. and will be streamed through Monarch Media.
